TDA has grown steadily since its founding in 1987. TDA has been profitable every year since its beginning and is now a $11.6 million dollar/year company. Eighty five percent of TDA’s revenues come from its funded research projects, primarily with agencies of the federal government, and fifteen percent from our much more profitable sales of hardware and technology.

Most of the products developed by TDA are not sold by us, but by our manufacturing partners. Last year our partners sold over $3.4 million of products originally developed at TDA, and we expect this number to grow significantly this year.

In addition to the work that we carry out in house, our partners make significant investments in taking our technology from the development and demonstration phase to full-scale manufacturing. In each of the last two years, the investment made by our partners bring our products to market has been larger than the in-house research program at TDA. This money is not spent at TDA, but is spent by our partners on their own people and facilities.
