TDA sorbents licensed to SulfaTrap in 2013, are now the largest U.S. supplier of sulfur removal sorbents for the fuel cell industry.
TDA created a 1 MWe hybrid membrane-sorbent carbon capture system in Norway, and is currently developing a larger $49M unit in Wyoming in partnership with SLB.
In partnership with Frontier Carbon Solutions, TDA created the first large-scale fullerene manufacturing facility. Now over 90% of fullerenes ever made ($500M/year market) are from TDA systems.
TDA developed and supplied $8M of hydrogen sulfide removal systems in southern California.
TDA developed the SSDX-12 cleaner/decon solution, oxygen generators, and air samplers used by the Air Force, and the CO2 removal system used on the International Space Station.

We have licensed large industrial processes and manufactured tens of tons of sorbents, catalysts and advanced chemicals, with multi-million dollars in sales. We manufacture specialty chemicals and build flight-qualified hardware for NASA and DoD. TDA and its partners have sold over $ 75 million of products developed by government and private funding, with over $200 million investment in high fidelity technology demonstration, testing, and qualification.

TDA Research in Golden, Colorado was founded in 1987 and has over 135 people on staff, 120 technical and 35 of those are PhDs. We have a wide range of experience which cuts across engineering, design, fabrication and materials development. At TDA we pride ourselves on persistence and maintaining long term relationships. Our organization is designed to efficiently operate in compliance with government contract requirements.
Our Facilities
TDA has tw0 facilities with a total area of over 80,000 ft2 with research and pilot plant production space. Our facilities include offices, a wet chemical laboratory, general dry laboratories, and a high bay experimental facility. Our two Golden facilities contain house process development and synthesis projects and our pilot plant production area. It contains 33 hoods, extensive wet lab and bench top space, mechanical and electrical laboratories, and sorbent and catalyst manufacturing equipment.
Our facilities provide the machining and electronic facilities needed to build up and support development and small scale production. TDA has extensive analytical and materials characterization equipment, as well as a wide variety of automated equipment built in-house for testing catalysts and sorbents.
